MED allows users to record their behaviour in three areas: Mind, Exercise and Diet. It also lets them record noticeable changes in how they feel. Over time it tracks correlations between mood and behaviour. Users can then visualise the data to gain insight about themselves and make lifestyle changes.
Users are encouraged to note their actions throughout the day which relate to the key mental, physical and nutritional factors of well being.
They are also given the option to record a subjective feeling of a positive or negative mood. This could also be paired with an objective measurement such as Heart Rate Variability synchronised with a watch or ring wearable.
The app will track and graph interesting correllations between the user's actions and their feelings. This allows them to make more positive lifestyle decisions.
Over time patterns emerge and the user can develop long term habit
combinations which put them in powerful states of mind.
A statuesque aesthetic was used to reference the 'Arete' concept in ancient Greek philosophy. The notion of self knowledge applied to realise the highest human potential.
